Dear Visitor,

It’s my pleasure to welcome you to TEMPUS TNE-QA "Promoting Quality and Recognition of Transnational Education in Armenia and Georgia" project website on behalf of the project Consortium.
This project aims to enhance quality and promote regulation and recognition of transnational higher education provisions in Armenia and Georgia and to establish quality assurance mechanisms in line with OECD/UNESCO guidelines.
It’s a privilege for our University to coordinate this TEMPUS three year EU-funded project that will build on the capacity of relevant institutions in Armenia and Georgia to effectively manage the quality assurance of their Higher Education Institutions providing the transnational education, both at institutional and national level.
Therefore our project is devoted to the development of the required tools necessary to achieve these objectives. Once developed and piloted in Armenia and Georgia, these tools will help the Armenian and Georgian institutions providing TNE to have the necessary Quality Assurance systems and ongoing improvement in their Higher Education programmes.
I wish this website to become a platform that will enable us to share our plans, achievements, and challenges that we will meet in the framework of TEMPUS TNE_QA project.  I hope it will also become a useful information source for Higher Education Institutions providing transnational education.

FINAL OUTCOMES/PUBLICATIONS OF THE PROJECT

In the duration of the TNE_QA project cycle the following documents were developed:

 TRAINING KIT For supporting the continuous professional development of staff and students involved in internal and external quality assurance of higher education, including cross-border higher education and transnational education arrangements (ENG, ARM, GEO)

Guidelines for developing policies, criteria and procedures for quality assurance of transnational higher education in Armenia and Georgia (ENG, ARM, GEO)

Other outcomes of the project:

  • Trained and retrained staff of TNE providers (30 members) and EQA bodies (10 members);
  • Policies, procedures, QA mechanisms established at TNE institutions;
  • 3 academic programmes in different fields and level (BA and MA level) self-assessed;
  • 12 academic programmes internally evaluated and accredited by host country EQA bodies;
  • 6 Quality Assurance Units of HEIs and national External Quality Assurance agencies in Armenia (ANQA) and Georgia (NCEQE) equipped.
